The Role:
Assist the Financial Controller in carrying out monthly General Ledger closing, statutory reporting, regulatory reporting, financial planning and analysis and dealing with auditors/examiners. Well versed with consolidating accounts and knowledgeable with investment accounting for various asset classes. Oracle experience is an advantage!

Major responsibilities:
Working alongside the Group Financial Controller in the following:
• Working with the finance teams in subsidiaries countries to manage and drive improvements in the payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in each jurisdiction
• Review and approve all month end reconciliations and control accounts
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for the Board, Executive Team
• Effectively manage the working capital components of the Group, and in particular accounts receivable, cash, accounts payable and taxes
• Undertake the annual audit and prepare the statutory financial accounts, including group consolidated accounts in IFRS
• Work with the senior management teams to develop the annual plan, including production of budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure plans
• Monitor and review performance against budgets/forecasts, including preparation of regular reports to Board and other stakeholders
• Prepare rolling forecasts of profit/loss, balance sheets and cash flows
• Review effectiveness of internal controls covering financial, operational and compliance
• Review costs structures, including presenting and implementing any recommended cost changes
• Prepare analysis and undertake projects aimed at improving business performance
• Assist with analysis, negotiation, financing and operational integration of business acquisitions
• Work with The Company’s advisers and suppliers to manage relationships with the Group’s auditors, tax advisers, bankers and other parties as directed by the CEO
• Produce statutory accounts (including consolidated IFRS accounts) and tax returns for the Group and its various subsidiaries as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and jurisdictional legislation
• Manage the annual audit and tax preparation process in each jurisdiction if required
• Liaise with bankers, financiers and insurers in relation to information and service requirements, planning facility changes and cover requirements.
