RANK: Upon successful completion of training, rank of acting lieutenant to medical, marine engineering & ordnance branches and acting sub-lieutenant to all other branch officers shall be awarded.

Category of Selection

==>  Operations Branch – Marines & SSG (N):

  • Gender:Male Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 25 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:Graduation with at least 55% marks from HEC recognized institutes.universities.
    F.Sc (Physics & Maths) with 55% marks is mandatory

==>  Special Branch – IT Specialists:

  • Gender:Male / Female Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 27 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:At least 60% marks or 2.5/4 CGPA in the following disciplines from HEC recognized institutes/universities.
    -> BE/BS in Computer Science with major in Networking (16 Year Qualification)

==>  Special Branch – Industrial Electronics:

  • Gender:Male Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 27 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:BE(Industrial Electronics) with at least 60% marks or 2.5/4 CGPA from HEC recognized institution/university.

==>  Medical Branch Specialists :

  • Gender:Male / Female Citizens of Pakistan – Females are only for Anaesthesiology.
  • Age:Up to 35 years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:Candidates must possess qualification MBBS with post-graduate qualification i.e. FCPS/FRCS/MRCP/MS/MD/American Board or equivalent qualification in following Specialty / Disciplines such as (Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Paediatrics and Cardiology)

==>  Special Branch – Computer Systems & Software Engineering:

  • Gender:Male Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 27 years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:Candidates must possess qualification BE / BS (Computer Systems or Software Engineering) with at least 60% marks or 2.5/4 CGPA from HEC recognized institution/university.

==>  Ordnance Branch:

  • Gender:Male Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 26 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:BE (Mechanical) with at least 60% marks or 2.5/4 CGPA from HEC recognized institutes/universities.

==>  Marine Engineering Branch:

  • Gender:Male Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 27 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:BE Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks or 2.5/4 CGPA from HEC recognized institutes/universities.

==>  Education Branch – Pakistan Studies:

  • Gender:Male / Female Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 28 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:MA/MSc/BS (Four Year Program) or equivalent degree in Pak Studies with at least 60% marks or 2.5/4 CGPA from HEC recognized insitutes/universities.Candidates having BEd degree will be given preference.

==>  Education Branch – Psychologist:

  • Gender:Male Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 28 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:MA/MSc/BS (Four Year Program) (Four years program) in Psychology with at least 2nd Division from HEC recognized institutes/universities.

==>  Education Branch – Mathematics:

  • Gender:Male / Female Citizens of Pakistan
  • Age:Up to 28 Years on 01-July-2015
  • Qualification:MA/MSc/BS (Four Year Program) in Mathematics with at least 60% marks or 2.5/4 CGPA from HEC recognized institutes/universities.

Height: (Male) – 5’4″ Minimum and (Females) – 5′ Minimum

10% relaxation in marks only for Blouchistan candidates.

1 Year age relaxation in upper age only for Baluchistan candidates.

NOTE:

  • Applications sent directly to Recruitment Directorate at Naval Headquarters will not be entertained.
  • Online register candidates must bring postal order of Rs. 200-/ (crossed in the name of Director of Recruitment NHQ Islamabad) or cash in lieu of postal order on the day of entrance test.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to carry their mobile phones during entrance test.

Selection Program / Procedure

  • Entrance Test: 18 January 2015.
  • Result: 28 January 2015
  • Preliminary Medical / Interview: Application forms will be issued to those candidates who qualify the entrance test, preliminary medical and interview.)
  • Note: The candidates are advised to get their ears and teeth cleaned by a Specialist doctor.
  • Tests / Interview at ISSB
  • Medical Examination of ISSB recommended candidates at the nearest CMH/Naval Hospital.
  • Interview by PN Selection Board.
  • Final Selection by Naval Headquarters.

Ineligibility Conditions

  • Twice rejected by ISSB after Post Graduation.
  • Twice rejected by ISSB before Graduation and once rejected by ISSB after Post Graduation.
  • Tested within one year validity period as validity of ISSB/GHQ/AHQ selection Boards stands for one year.
  • Rejected by ISSB once before POST Graduation and once after Post Graduation.However those who achieve even higher qualification i.e Ph.D and FRCS/equivalent are eligible for third chance . This chance is only applicable when there is requirement of Ph.D and FRCS candidates.
  • Twice Screened out at ISSB
  • Tested within four months (120 days) from last ISSB appearance (for candidates rejected by ISSB)
  • Withdrawn from any academic training institution of Armed Forces on any ground.
  • Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.
  • Resigned/dismissed/withdrawn from Armed Forces Training Institutions.
  • Dismissed/removed from Govt Service.
  • Convicted by a court of law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
  • Declared medically unfit by an Armed Forces Appeal Medical Board.
  • Concealment of information in the application form.
  • Married to a Foreign National.
  • Females in Family way.
  • Note: All female candidates are to provide an undertaking stating that “she will not be family way” at the time of joining / during training tenure.
