PURPOSE OF JOB
The manager will provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, developing & communicating plans based on a risk analysis of Exams Operations.
The position holder will liaise between the different functional units of the Examination Services Department to ensure high quality operational performance for external and internal customers
The person will play a crucial role in ensuring existing SOP’s are clear & well communicated and then properly implemented. Where it is identified that no SOP’s or inadequate SOP’s exist they will create such SOP’s in consultation with relevant exams SBU’s and thereafter ensure their effective communication & implementation
The various exams processes & systems will be reviewed from operational perspective and critical areas will be identified and reported with solutions to address them. The position’s primary goals will be to Observe, Identify, Report and recommend solutions for business improvement and suggest mitigation measures at an early stage and identify recovery strategies and gaps.

The British Council’s Exams Department has set in place an ambitious plan to ensure its growth and greater impact in a fast changing, global environment. To do this, the department needs to work more effectively and efficiently with partners, both internal and external from all sectors of society. The Exams Department has grown into a significantly large revenue business. Due to the scale of the operations, the organization requires dedicated specialist to monitor that existing processes are continuously being improved in order to ensure high service delivery levels.
This team is headed by the Director of Examination Services Operations. The post holder will report to the Head of Compliance with a dotted line to Director of Examination Services Operations
